A Corroboration of Elements (2017)

Northwestern Delaware Basin Lea County New Mexico

A Corroboration of Elements was photographed in Western Lea County New Mexico in the Spring of 2017.

The 3:1 panorama consists of 98 separate images rendering 7 levels of light. The image was captured right after the passage of an early Spring severe thunderstorm. The characteristic lime green can be seen in the new Spring leaves of the Mesquite ground cover wet from 2 inches of rain. 2017 turned out to be a stormy Summer for the Permian Basin and especially the Western Delaware Basin. The process of combining 98 high resolution images together to make the panorama creates an image that is 20 times the resolution of conventional commercial photography. The result is a level of detail that very few people have seen in a photograph. Fine art oil & gas photography by Robert D. Flaherty. Photo © copyright by Robert D. Flaherty.
